EXCITING new projects ted by WPP's real estate team have been winning awards, reinventing offices and introducing greener practices. Wunderman's striking new São Paulo office space (bottom right) recently took the top prize out of 1,500 entries for interior architecture at Brazil's Corporate Architecture Awards. The office also received Leadership in Energy and environmental Design (LEED) certification from the US Green Building Council.
Two suburban low-rise buildings in Dearborn, Michigan have been transformed into a remarkable workspace for Team Detroit, a collaboration of Group companies that includes ]WT, Ogilvy, Wunderman, Media edge cia and MindShare. The common areas are a series of contrasting zones of think tanks (above left), brand rooms and meeting lounges where bright colours and funky furniture and artwork stimulate the senses. And by the end of 2010, around 900 people from 14 WPP companies will move into a stunning purpose built space in Scotts Road, Singapore.
The brand new office, complete with interactive media wall, (above top) has been designed with the environment and sustainability as top priorities and is being built to the Gold standard of Singapore's Green Mark Scheme.
